A Murray Acoustics product
dBFlow
Business management software for acoustics consultancies, written by one, in the gaps between surveys, because nothing on the market fitted.
Why it exists
Built by the person doing the job.
Acoustics consultancies run on a strange stack. A CRM built for sales teams, a spreadsheet for quotes, another for the kit calendar, an accounting package that has never heard of a planning condition, and a folder structure holding it all together. None of it knows what a project is.
dBFlow was written to replace that, from inside the work rather than from a product roadmap. It is the system this practice runs on: the same client list, the same quotes, the same equipment calendar, the same job book behind the project map on this site. Every feature exists because a job needed it first.
It is now open to the rest of the trade. The network half (the marketplace, the jobs board, the directory and the forum) is free for every consultant, because a network nobody can afford to join is not a network.
The practice toolkit
One place for the whole chain.
Clients, projects, quotes, invoices
The chain a consultancy actually runs on. A client becomes a project, a project becomes a quote, an accepted quote becomes an invoice, and nothing is retyped along the way.
Financial dashboard and forecasting
Pipeline by likelihood, accepted work by month, what is issued and unpaid. The numbers a director checks on a Monday, without exporting anything.
Automated quote documents
Quotes composed from templated items and issued as a document, with chasers that go out on their own if nobody replies.
Invoice chasers and reminders
The follow-up nobody enjoys doing, scheduled and sent. Payment terms stop being a suggestion.
Equipment booking and calendar
Which meter is out, who has it and when it comes back. Bookings against real kit, so two surveys never claim the same analyser.
Acoustic calculators and tools
Unit-tested acoustic maths, not a spreadsheet somebody inherited: the day-to-day calculations, done consistently and shown working.
Construction systems library
A reference library of build-ups and their performance, so a specification starts from something checkable.
Planning lead finder
Planning applications that mention noise, surfaced as leads on a map before the invitation to quote goes out.
