These are notes on work we are able to talk about. Some are technical: what a standard actually requires, what a survey costs, why an assessment fails when a council reads it. Some are project updates, published while the matter is live because the findings are already in front of the people deciding it.
They follow the order a report follows. The measurement, the standard, the calculation, then the conclusion. Every figure comes from an instrument or a published document and the source is named, so anyone can check the arithmetic. Where there is an interest to declare, it is declared at the foot of the page.
